I compiled about half the knowledge to make the device and even less of the materials. I began my research and read more and more, eventually attempting to find the resources and information necessary to create myself a bluebox. It was during this time I started to hear stories, stories of manipulation and exploitation of phone and computer systems. The days of netscape navigator, corel, and word perfect, Lotus123 and so on. “High Res” pictures on the internet would open in a total time of anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes and/or sometimes never, depending on where in the world it was pulling it from. I had a fantastic consumer IBM G元00 with the big box CRT monitor and PS/2 keyboard to go with it (Which I still have to this day). To me it was fantastic, I had a slow dial up connection which made that Skee-wert Ree-wert sound when connecting to the internet over the phone line. When I was about 8 or 9 my journey with technology really began, I would have absolutely no idea what was in store for the future.
